 Logical Links

Introducing Examples: For example, As evidence of this,

Concession: Nevertheless

Summing up: In conclusion, But overall, Overall,

Cause and effect: One reason for, as a result

Argument: Changes have been positive
Evidence: Improvements in health care, education, less physical labour, better working conditions, large leisure industries

Argument: Changes have been negative

Evidence: impact on environment, stress and pressure in schools/workplaces, reduced family life, loss of social relationships, loss of sense of community, increased crime and divorce rates
